धनुर्धरो धनुर्वेदो दण्डो दमयिता दमः। अपराजितः सर्वसहो नियन्ताऽनियमोऽयमः॥९२॥

English transliteration

dhanur-dharo dhanur-vedo dando dama-yitā dama-ha ׀ aparājitah sarva-saho niyantā-niyam-o-yama-ha

English meaning

857. Dhanurdharaḥ – He who, as Rāma, wielded the great bow. 858. Dhanurvedaḥ – He who, as Rāma the son of Daśaratha, was master of the science of archery (Dhanurveda). 859. Daṇḍaḥ – He who is discipline personified among all disciplinarians. 860. Damayitā – He who inflicts punishment on the wicked as Yama and as king. 861. Damaḥ – He who is self-discipline in men as a result of righteous enforcement. 862. Aparājitaḥ – One who is never defeated by any enemy. 863. Sarvasahaḥ – One who is expert in all Karmas (works) and bears all with equanimity. 864. Niyantā – One who appoints every person to their respective duties. 865. Aniyamaḥ – One upon whom no external law is enforced, being Himself the controller of everything. 866. Ayamaḥ – One upon whom Yama has no control; one who has no death.

हिंदी अर्थ

857 धनुर्धरः – धनुषधारी श्रीराम, 858 धनुर्वेदः – धनुर्विद्या को जानने वाले श्रीराम , 859 दण्डः – दमन करने वालों की दमन शक्ति, 860 दमयिता – यम और राजा आदि के रूप में दमन करने वाले, 861 दमः – दण्ड का कार्य यानी जिनको दण्ड दिया जाता है, उनका सुधार, 862 अपराजितः – शत्रुओं द्वारा पराजित न होने वाले, 863 सर्वसहः – सब कुछ सहन करने की सामर्थ्य से युक्त, अतिशय तितिक्षु, 864 नियन्ता – सबको अपने-अपने कर्तव्य में नियुक्त करने वाले, 865 अनियमः – नियमों से न बँधे हुए, जिनका कोई भी नियन्त्रण करने वाला नहीं, ऐसे परम स्वतन्त्र, 866 अयमः – जिनका कोई शासक नहीं अथवा मृत्यु रहित
